I don’t think I’ve mentioned this yet, the tour company has a large route sign that’s about 3 feet x 2 ft that is set out in the lobby for us at each hotel. After each segment of the ride Paula sharpies in the route as a visual of where we rode. I LOVE this. Being a visual person, this helps me feel like we’re getting somewhere. Here is a picture of it as I type this. ^
Jason mentioned to me a few days ago that we’ve officially Everasted on this trip! It took 10-11 days of riding, but we climbed a lot. I hadn’t really given that too much thought til then. In two more rides, we cross the 1k mile ridden mark of the trip. Wild.
Last night I did my laundry at the hotel. It was nice to use a drier! Simple things. The washer and dryer here use Bluetooth and an app.. you can pay with Apple Pay for them! Silly to mention, but it’s the first I’ve seen that.
Ps these are all my clothes on trip.. only missing are my 2 long sleeves, puffy, and cycling kits.

This morning I got a late start of the day, trying to rest. Naturally I woke at 6 then 7am. Hotels can be loud places, lots of door slamming. Either way, I got good sleep and headed down to the hotel lobby for coffee and oatmeal. I got a Lyft ride over to the Hot Yoga studio about 5 miles away. (Yes I considered riding my bike but forced myself not to.)
The yoga studio I went to is called Thrive, they have hot yoga, regular yoga, and spin classes. This place was so cute. The instructor was great, the small space was inviting and had everything you might need.. even post yoga showers with soaps and towels!? They let me borrow a mat and yoga mat/towel. They knew my name. I think they’re pretty in tune with their clients, I was a new face. If in town, check it out. I’d go again!

After yoga I walked to the sushi bar Nextdoor and had 4 sushi rolls for a very good price! Then I strolled over to their local health food store and picked up a burrito for dinner, 2 sweet bread slices, and a lavender calming oil. I use the oil at home when I’m trying to get good sleep. I didn’t even think to bring it, but now I have one.
Going to sign off here to get my cycling gear ready for the morning and zone out.
****Tomorrow is Jason’s birthday, if you’re in touch, send him some bday cheer! Thank you!
